Baule Brass and Bone Bead Earrings
The ornate style of these 1-1/2″ long triangular brass bead earrings is made by the Baule people of Ethiopia. Each bead is handmade from wax and then cast with molten brass. This brass bead making process dates back to the 7th century in Africa. Because the beads are handmade, no two are perfectly identical. Each bead is unique. To soften the crude character of the brass, black and white Batik bone and clear crystal bead are added for a touch of drama.
