Head Measurement Instructions
In general, most hat manufacturing companies make women’s hats that are sized in one-size-fits-all. that’s generally for head sizes ranging from 21.5 inches to 22.25 inches. At Designs by Tasha, we custom make hats to your actual head size, therefore, your head measurement is very important to us. Our primary clients are African-American women whose head size are larger in a range that varies in size from 22.25” to 24 inches because of braids, hair extensions, wigs and afros. To determine your hat size, you can use a flexible tape measure or a string and ruler. You may also measure your head by printing out the printable tape measure below.
How To Measure Your Head
Measure from the front to back of your head bringing the tape measure around the head and over the ears until it ends together at the center of your forehead right above your eyebrows. Use the hat size chart below to determine your size, rounding to the nearest eighth of an inch as necessary. It is important that you measure your head, even if you’ve found a great style in a certain size in the past, Tasha hats require correct sizing. Once you know your head measurement, compare your calculations with the head sizing chart below. Select your size from small, medium, large or extra-large. Make sure to include your head size with your hat order.Measuring your head is very easy to do.
